To realize DC/DC converters with high efficiency, we use converter topologies with resonant switching.
By switching at the zero-crossing point of the voltage and/or current (ZVS, ZCS), the switching losses can be nearly eliminated. Resonant circuits are typically dimensioned by using simulations, and are then optimized and tuned on hardware prototypes.
