Multilevel Topologies
ENASYS has a wealth of experience in this area – we have been exploring, experimenting, and using multilevel topologies for over 10 years now.
By using multiple converter cells, the virtual switching frequency can be boosted – each single semiconductor device can be switched efficiently, with a low switching frequency, whereas the high virtual, unit-level switching frequency drastically reduces filter requirements.
